On the 21st & 22nd of September, Excelerate exhibited at the Emergency Services Show at the NEC Birmingham. If you didn’t get chance to attend, here’s a few highlights on what took place.

Northamptonshire Police and Fire & Rescue Service Joint Command Unit Launch.

The new joint command unit will provide a base for commanders when in attendance at large scale or major incidents.

All of Excelerate’s integrated technologies have been designed to facilitate joint working, while enhancing operational efficiency and further supporting resilience for Northamptonshire’s incident response capability.

With the Government’s drive towards greater collaboration and sharing of resources across the Emergency Services, this new Joint Command Unit is at the forefront of this transition.

New Incident Ground Technology

Operating across a wide range of scenarios presents different challenges and communications requirements. That’s where Excelerate’s range of incident ground technology has become integral to managing any incident. This includes in scenarios where vehicle based communications might be difficult to deploy such as flooding, enabling a more flexible and agile communications capability.

New and Upgraded Solutions

Proculux

Proculux can be used in harsh and challenging environments allowing users to capture footage at ultra-long distances regardless of environmental conditions including fog, mist and low light conditions.

Body-Worn Camera

New added benefits of Excelerate’s enhanced body-worn camera solution include

Improved Wearability: Bespoke helmet and body-worn clips can be designed specifically to suit individual requirements. ‘Click Fast’ docks are also available for ease of use with a range of PPE.

Increased Battery Life:
Now supplied with hot swappable batteries that give an operational time of 4-6 hours each.

Enhanced Durability: Both the camera and radio style transmitter has an IP67 rating with ruggedized connectors and cabling that has been Kevlar reinforced to ensure durability and robustness.

An IP67 (Ingress Protection) rating means that Excelerate’s body worn camera and radio style transmitter are resistant against water ingress to a maximum of 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes, as well as protected against dust ingress.

ExStream Video Application

Excelerate’s new ‘ExStream’ video application enables teams to send live video from the incident ground to any authorised location. Multiple live feeds can then be viewed simultaneously on a range of devices including smartphones & tablets via an app or secure webpage supporting ease of use.
